Damietta ranks second in the periodic visit of the Presidential Initiative to Support Women's Health
Dr. Ayman El-Shahaby, Governor of Damietta, congratulated the Directorate of Health, headed by Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Khaleq, and the Health Insurance Authority branch, led by Dr. Rasha Mosleh, for Damietta achieving second place nationwide in the 2025 periodic visit of the Presidential Initiative for Supporting Egyptian Family Health. This achievement is part of the initiative's provision of services for the early detection of breast cancer and non-communicable diseases.

He also emphasized that this achievement was the result of sound planning and fruitful cooperation among all implementing parties, and a significant step towards a healthier and happier society.
It is worth noting that the Women's Health Support Initiative in December 2025 achieved a total of 1,584 visits in the governorate for the first round, with 88 visits conducted by insurance clinics, representing 5.6% of the governorate's total. Additionally, the governorate achieved a total of 35,376 periodic visits, with 661 visits conducted by insurance clinics, representing 1.9% of the governorate's total.
