Due to the quality of the Damietta furniture product and its compatibility with the global development of this industry, Damietta furniture has found a place on the export map for years to compete with and surpass global production. There are permanent furniture manufacturing exhibitions in Damietta through which all products manufactured within the governorate are displayed, in addition to a permanent exhibition at the Cairo Exhibition Grounds and holding exhibitions in other governorates from time to time in cooperation with the Small, Medium and Micro Enterprise Development Agency And the Damietta Chamber of Commerce.

The dairy industry is a first-class craft industry, as it relied on purely Damietta expertise, represented by the skills of some experienced men and women in the field of manufacturing Damietta white cheese, butter, local cheese, cream, yogurt, and Romano cheese. These colors were among the dairy industries at the beginning of the twentieth century. This industry was one of the home industries spread in an individual form inside homes, some of which were taken from one or two rooms designated for preparing Some types of cheese and other dairy products. This step is followed by building and allocating factories in their miniature form to produce different types of dairy, which prepares Damietta and nominates it to lead this industry.

The people of Ezbet El Borg specialize in this industry. The shipbuilding industry has been developed from wooden ships to iron ships equipped with the latest equipment to work in regional and international waters and the high seas. In 1989, the yacht industry began to appear in the city of Ezbet El Borg in Damietta Governorate. Recently, the demand for purchasing tourist yachts has increased due to the skill of the Damietta manufacturer in this field.
Confectionery Industry
Damietta Governorate is famous for many promising industries that its economic sector has relied on. An example of these industries is the oriental sweets industry, where this industry flourishes and dates back to the age of the old Damietta port when Damietta had intertwined relations with the Levant and the eastern Mediterranean, through which the ancestors gained experiences that were later passed down through generations from the components that contributed to this fame.
This did not come out of nowhere, but because Damietta sweets are distinguished by their preservation of the first and main natural ingredients that our ancestors used many years ago, far from the use of artificial flavors and colors that are common these days.
Damietta sweets enjoy a good reputation among many inside and outside the country and they maintain their distinctive flavour.
